Economic Impact of Arts and Culture in Chico
Chico is home to many different kinds of art forms, from symphonies to public sculptures. Ever wondered what their true economic impact on Chico is? The City of Chico Arts Commission and the Washington, DC-based organization Americans for the Arts just spent two years on a formal study of the issue. That 28 page study is now ready for release.
On March 30th and 31st the Chico Arts and Culture Foundation will be hosting Randy Cohen, Vice President of Research and Policy at Americans for the Arts, to talk about the economic impact that arts and culture have on the Chico community.
The Americans for the Arts is a national advocacy organization for arts and cultural economic development. Randy Cohen is a renowned expert in areas of arts economics and using the arts to address community development issues.
